Tom Keels Lecture and Book Signing
Tom Keels will speak about "Franklin's Forgotten Philadelphia" at Christ Church on Thursday, October 23, 2008. He will bring to life the 18th century Philadelphia that was the physical environment of the city where Franklin achieved greatness. The illustrated lecture will include the Great Meeting House of the Quakers, the Crooked Billet Tavern, the Town Hall and the Court House, the original Christ Church, the Franklin Print Shop and Franklin Court.
Mr. Keels is a local writer and historian. He is the author of Philadelphia Graveyards and Cemeteries and co-author of Chestnut Hill.
This event is free and open to the public.
